To prepare for Holy Communion, each child must have been baptised. A certificate of baptism must be attached to their application for First Holy Communion (these certificates can be obtained from the parish where the child was baptised).

Children are normally in the 2nd Class (8 years old) at school before they begin their preparation for Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.

We begin our preparation progamm in Mekicoplatz and Neustift am Walde in the Autumn, and celebate First Holy Communion normally in May, with Reconcilation sometime before.
